Tori Abelson

Artist Bio

Tori Abelson enjoys creating unconventional forms through sculpture and ceramics. Tori will earn her bachelor's degree in studio art in May of 2023 from Florida Atlantic University. Her 3-D work explores themes of nature and identity. Tori has recently worked with the Florida Atlantic Marine Lab to help them communicate their research of sea turtles through art. Making scientifically accurate sea turtle models out of clay allowed her to bring her passion for nature and pottery together. Tori is most interested in throwing on the wheel and enjoys how fluid and open that process is. In the future she aims to work bigger and expand the functionality of her pieces.
